​In reflection of Black History Month, we are delighted to invite you to participate in an engaging and thought-provoking symposium titled “Same Root, Different Routes.” This event offers a welcoming and secure space to review, enhance and strengthen connections between African immigrants and African Americans in the US.

​Our goal is to explore the shared ancestral heritage, legacies, values, and beliefs that unite us, and gain deeper insight into the factors that sometimes divide us across the African diaspora, through open dialogue, and intellectual exchange to foster mutual understanding and a renewed sense of collective identity.
